O autorce


Jestem doktorem nauk medycznych w dziedzinie biologii medycznej. Pracuję w Instytucie Immunologii i Terapii Doświadczalnej Polskiej Akademii Nauk. Od czerca 2014 r jestem również badaczem w Department of Anthropology Yale University.
Interesuje mnie rola czynników środowiskowych w kształtowaniu funkcji reprodukcyjnych kobiet. W szczególności zainteresowana jestem wpływem stresu psychologicznego na cykl menstruacyjny, ciążę i laktację. Z drugiej strony interesuje mnie także jak hormony płciowe (estradiol, progesteron, testosteron) oddziałują na zachowania kobiet.
Stale współpracuję z prof. Grażyną Jasieńską z Collegium Medicum UJ, prof. Richardem Bribiescasem z Department of Anthropology Yale University, prof. Bogusławem Pawłowskim z Katedry Antropologii UWr, dr Szymonem Wichary z SWPS w Warszawie, dr Andrzejem Galbarczykiem z Collegium Medicum UJ, doktorantką Magdaleną Klimek Collegium Medicum UJ oraz doktor Magdaleną Babiszewską z Katedry Biologii Człowieka UWr. Obecnie wspólnie z moim mężem Szymonem Wichary kończę pracę nad projektem dotyczącym wpływu hormonów reprodukcyjnych na podejmowanie i unikanie ryzyka u ludzi. Jednocześnie, rozpoczynam nowy projekt dotyczący wpływu stresu psychologicznego na karmienie piersią i rozwój niemowlęcia.
